Stanford Shopping Center
One of the best shopping centers in the area is Stanford Shopping Center. It's an open air high-end center, with the atmosphere of a town plaza more than a mall. You'll find many well-known brands and upscale stores represented here.
There are the big department stores, like Macy's and Bloomingdale's. There are all the apparel and accessories stores you'd expect - Gap and Nine West, together with the more expensive ones like Michael Kors and Kate Spade. There is a huge Crate & Barrel and even several electronics brands like Apple and Bang & Olufsen.
The place is well designed and gives you the feeling of a promanade. It is surrounded with greenery.
There are several cafes and restaurants here. Our favourite is the La Baguette bakery, where we get a good ham&cheese baguette and a capuccino, and then sit in the adjacent courtyard for a quick lunch.
Junior formal dresses

Today we're all about dresses. Junior formal dresses, to be precise, for the winter parties ahead of us.
Now is the best time to get these dresses. The selection is huge and so is the price range. Next time you can find them will probably be only in June.
We visited several department stores in our neighborhood in Stanford Shopping Center, and picked several to present here.

Ann Taylor brown Zahara boots

We promised you a pair of casual brown boots to go with the American Eagle cardigan we presented last month.
Well, since then we told you about the Logo Rain Boots by Michael Kors, which are definetly casual and cool.
However, we also found this teriffic pair, the brown Zahara Riding Boots by Ann Taylor, which are flat so can be considered casual, but are actually fancy enough to go with a more elegant outfit.

There's a relatively new Michael Kors store at Stanford Shopping Center, and yesterday was our first chance to check it out.
The store is not big but well designed and everything on display looked very attractive.
We didn't buy anything, we weren't looking for anything in particular, just browsing around a bit. It doesn't mean, however, that we didn't fancy most of the items in the store... Read more.

Abercrombie and Fitch skinny jeans

We started our new teen corner just a few days ago. Today, again, we would like to present a teen product. Definitely teen or at least a very very skinny lady.
If you are young, in your 20s max, or if you have a teenage daughter/niece or friend, you probably know that their favorite cool clothing is Abercrombie & Fitch. It is designed for the young, that's for sure. The stores are dark and loud music plays the way teens love it.
I had the chance to explore the store in Stanford Shopping Center a few days ago, in the company of a teenage girl on her pursuit for a pair of jeans. Read more.

After browsing online we decided it's worth a visit and a closer examination in the store.

Stay fit with a new outfit

The Olympic games are over and it's time to turn off the TV, get off the couch and start exercising.
This, at least, is one of our after-summer-vacation resolutions.
As you already know, we are somehow fussy about our looks, even in the gym, so we decided to renew our training wardrobe.

New, Free People store

Check this out - there's a new Free People store in Stanford Shopping Center.
As usual, their stuff is very "sixties".
There are lots of printed fabrics. Lots of light summer dresses and camis. Most of them are not cheap, but they definitely have character and will enhance your appearance.
